VAN DREW CAMPAIGN WARNS VOTERS TO PREPARE FOR FAKE POLLS IN THE 2nd CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT

As Yogi Berra said, “It’s Déjà Vu all over again!”

June 25, 2026 — United States Congressman Jeff Van Drew’s campaign released the following statement in anticipation of the Democrat’s polling in New Jersey’s 2nd Congressional District.

“We go through this year in and year out and it’s really getting old,” said Van Drew’s Campaign Manager and Director of Political Affairs Ron Filan. “The Democrats start out by claiming Van Drew is vulnerable, because [insert reason here] this year is different and will be unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. Then comes the Summer when they’ll commission a poll which will show their candidate either winning or within striking distance, which they’ll then use to raise boatloads of cash, only to lose decisively in November. Get ready folks, it’s coming, but even with Congressman Van Drew’s record of success, he never takes anything for granted and will be working harder than ever!”

In the Summer of 2020, the Democrats released an internal poll showing Amy Kennedy winning by 6%, well outside the margin of error meaning the odds of it being wrong were supposed to be statistically insignificant, but she actually lost by 6% or 22,000 votes, after roughly $12 million were spent on her behalf. Next up was Tim Alexander who began the Summer of 2022 claiming he was already within striking distance and that he would easily finish what Kennedy started only to lose by nearly 19% or more than 44,000 votes. Fast forward to the Summer of 2024 when Joe Salerno’s campaign released a similar internal poll showing Van Drew only up single digits with a clear pathway to victory on the informed ballot. He went on to lose by 17% or 63,000 votes after spending nearly $2 million that cycle. We expect the Democrats to follow the same playbook this year.
