Hopes Democrat Opponent Enjoys the Experience of Running

June 2, 2026 — United States Congressman Jeff Van Drew released the following statement regarding the results of tonight’s Republican and Democrat Primaries. 

“First and foremost, I’d like to thank all of my supporters who still took the time to come out and vote even though they knew I was uncontested in the Republican Primary,” said United States Congressman Jeff Van Drew (R-South Jersey). “Secondly, I hope whoever wins the Democrat primary enjoys the experience of running as it is indeed always an honor. I believe this election will be a good one with a clear contrast between myself and whomever my opponent ends up being. I believe in AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM and A STRONG AMERICA that leads, is the shining city on the hill, and that we’re the engine that drives the world rather than the caboose. There is a fundamental difference of beliefs and visions for America which you will see play out in the weeks and months ahead.”
