REPUBLICAN VOTER REGISTRATION IN VAN DREW’S SOUTH JERSEY DISTRICT REACHES A NEW RECORD HIGH

December 4, 2025 — United States Congressman Jeff Van Drew’s campaign released the following statement after newly released numbers from the New Jersey Division of Elections showed the number of registered Republicans in New Jersey’s 2nd Congressional District continued to climb following the November elections and had surpassed the 200,000 mark for the first time.

“Here in South Jersey, Republicans have now outpaced Democrats in 47 of the 48 months since the current Congressional District lines were drawn and we just set a new record by surpassing the 200,000 registered voter mark for the first time in a district that was actually drawn by Democrats and for Democrats with a Democrat voter registration advantage,” said Van Drew’s Campaign Manager and Director of Political Affairs Ron Filan. “The Democrats can make up whatever fairy tales they want to tell themselves heading into next year, but these numbers don’t lie. Congressman Van Drew is going to head into the 2026 midterms with 22,000 more Republicans behind him while whoever limps out of the Democrat primary is going to have 4,000 fewer Democrats than they did four years ago.”
