Van Drew Victory Shatters his own Record Helping Trump Flip Three South Jersey Counties

November 13, 2024 — United States Congressman Jeff Van Drew’s campaign released the following statement as the unofficial results continue to trickle in from last week’s election. Trump carried Atlantic, Cumberland, and Gloucester counties after they went for Biden in 2020 while Atlantic and Cumberland had been reliably Democrat in Presidential elections going all the way back to 1988. 

“Congressman Van Drew is once again the top vote getter in the history of New Jersey’s Second Congressional District,” said Van Drew’s Campaign Manager Ron Filan. “With 212,504 votes and counting the Congressman shattered his previous record of 195,526 votes and his margin of victory this year was so large that it may even surpass his 2020 and 2022 margins collectively. Congressman Van Drew also carried Atlantic & Cumberland Counties by nearly 10% and Gloucester by more than 12% helping President Trump carry these counties by 4%, 4%, and 3% respectfully. Van Drew served as Trump’s New Jersey campaign chairman helping to organize his largest rally ever and our campaign distributed thousands of “South Jersey is Trump Van Drew Country” campaign signs.”
