Van Drew Says “NO” to Biden’s $1.7 Trillion Omnibus Spending Bill

December 23, 2022 — United States Congressman Jeff Van Drew released the following statement after voting against Biden’s $1.7 Trillion omnibus spending bill. 

“With just days to go in the 117th Congress, Biden and the House Democrat majority just rammed through a 4,000+ page, $1.7 trillion spending bill that will lead to even more inflation, even higher interest rates, and an even larger national debt,” said United States Congressman Jeff Van Drew. “They’re also sending tens of billions of American taxpayers dollars overseas to secure foreign borders (rather than our own) at a time when the American people are suffering and can least afford it. Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans should have stood strong and waited for the new Conservative House Majority to be seated in January rather than rubber stamping Biden, Pelosi, and Schumer’s legislative priorities.”
